First off, PassDropIt has been giving me problems as of late. No matter how i tried, i just couldn’t update the links when there is a new book. Hence, i will be using another service to replace it. same password, and i guess the bonus thing is that when you download multiple links, it only asks for the password once. so yay?
I’ll not go cray-cray and update everything, but for every new book that will be added, expect the new service to be used.
Oh, and i finally finished reading Dungeon Hunter! (You do know that i just don’t have the time to read everything here. I just follow a select few) It was an awesome novel in my opinion. The ending gave me a smile and that the main story was nicely concluded in the end. What i like is how the story is driven by his ambition in the story. It didn’t detract in any way until the end, and everything that happened has an important part in the storyline. This is about how the main protagonist, Randalph Brigsiel, achieves his dream. It also has elements of dungeon management / simulation, and how unfortunately Earth becomes the place for all of it.
The plot starts simple at first, but at the latter part of the story, you are shown just how far the rabbit hole goes. Needless to say, what once was the expected outcome, was thrown into disarray after discovering the deeper storyline.
Some may say that the ending is bittersweet, and i agree to some extent. But when you think about it, if the author just wraps it up just like that, then the punch is just lacking. What happens in the end makes one realize that his dreams and ambitions are wholly fulfilled, and it resonates strongly in the last part. Most stories fail to achieve that, but this one does it successfully.
There is no convoluted plot, and the story moves forward in a good pace.
Overall, I highly recommend this novel! I do not classify it as great, and not everyone may enjoy this, but the story and pacing is really solid. No part seems out of place, and provides a unique perspective and story on what is normally considered a villain for a main character.
